Co-Founder

Apiyo Monica Prudence and her co-founder Adyero Anna Oyat founded the Her Worth Foundation in February of 2021 as a non-profit, non-political, and non-religious organization.

Why was Her Worth Foundation formed?

to discover long-term solutions to difficulties affecting young women and girls, as well as to defend and fulfill their rights to education, skill development, health, child safety, and emotional support

How?

The creation of the foundation as a tool to inculcate self-worth was spurred by fundraising to give an intervention in the region's surge in teenage pregnancy, school dropout, increased rate of poverty, and also lack of confidence and low self-esteem among the majority of young women.
